I prepared for my first (never took classes or anything but read up on all of it) and did pretty much nothing for my second. But it was all fairly fresh in my mind still, there was only a 2 1/2 year difference in their ages... I still remembered all my prep from him for her...
However, this one I am preparing again. There will be over 5 years between my current youngest and this child... so I know I have probably forgotten some things. Plus, this time I am doing a home birth so, although I have had two drug-free births, I would rather learn a bit more than I have already to prepare for this new experience.
So I would have to say... if you don't feel like you need to overly prepare, don't. You probably don't need to. If you feel the need to prepare, do so, you probably need to!
