DS got his first tooth at 11.5 months and the rest of the teeth still came slowly, one at a time. Getting your teeth later is supposed to make for stronger teeth, but that might be an old wives' tale. The nice thing was that DS never really teethed/got fussy.
Oh, and I should mention, I fed him everything even without teeth. Remember, the teeth are there, just under the gums, so they can really mash food well, unlike old people who have lost them and have soft gums.
