Stinky pee when taking multi-vitamin

Is it typical for a toddlers urine to smell very strong when taking a multi vitamin? She also complains that "pee pee hurt" when she first urinates (in her diaper) in the morning. This only occurred when she was taking the vitamin.
My 2 yo has a few symptoms of malabsorbtion and I am wondering if this is another.

You may want to try a whole foods vitamin. Many times urine will smell almost like the vitamin when too many things are added to it. She is peeing out what is not needed. Same goes for adult vitamins. Hope this helps.

She was taking Floradix Floravital. Can you give me some examples of whole foods vitamins?

I buy Standard Process from my chiropractor for myself. I think they have a chewable for kids although I didn't care for the taste. The price is really reasonable too. If your vitamin jar says 100% or more for many of the vitamins, that's probably the reason for the smell. My kids are 10 & 11 and I give them L'il Critters Gummy Vites. My chiro looked at the label and said they were a good choice. They are cheapest at Sam's Club.
