Monitor reading not matching up to temps?

I got two days of high readings and then two days of peak readings followed by one more high day; all just like it should be. But, my chart doesn't show a thermal spike yet. I looked at the FF chart gallery and all of the charts using a monitor show a temp spike on the days of peak with a few showing it on the last high day. My chart never showed ovulation when I was just temping before (even when I got pregnant with our oldest son) and my dr told me it was because I had low progesterone at the time. So now I guess I either didn't actually ovulate but did have an LH surge or I have low progesterone and my chart isn't going to show a thermal spike? Either way sucks. Any ideas?

Here's my chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/44ec5

I'm currently still breastfeeding my 2 year old once a day, which may explain the rocky temps.

hmm.. i know next to nothing about monitors. this may be a job for maeryn pearl or one of the real senior members here. to me, it just doesnt look like you've ovulated. but- if you o'd yesterday, it is possible your temp might not shift until tomorrow, there can be a 24 hour lag, depending on time of o and time of temp. maybe tomorrow you will see a jump. you might call your doc, i don't know if they would do 7dpo bloodwork to help you figure out if you really o'd or not, but they might.

in general, your temps are really rocky though, aren't they? i dont think once a day nursing should do that. i wonder if vag temping might be a good option for you? you are using a bbt thermometer, yes? not a regular therm?

Since you have such rocky temps my guess is you did O Thursday but FF won't give you cross hairs until you have more temps. I'd expect your temp to be up tomorrow...don't count yourself out yet mama!

see what tomorrow brings. ff will likely put your cl at around 97.6-ish i would guess, so see if you are over 97.8 or .9 by tomorrow. if not, just keep on keeping on till you know for sure.

Well my temp went up today, but not more than it had been a couple of days ago, but still maybe promising (?)

I switched my FF detecting method to the monitor because I NEEDED to see that line I figured in a couple of days I can switch it back and see where they put it based on everything altogether. We'll see, I guess!

Thanks so much for the input, girls!!

your other signs make sense for an o, so maybe. about the thermometer, it is a bbt thermometer, right? batteries are fresh and all? someone the other day commented that they had been taking their temp wrong for months- between their gumline and cheek, so just to throw this out there, you are taking it under your tongue, right? if you breathe through your mouth at night, vag temping might be a better option for you.

Yup, it's a BBT thermometer new at the start of this cycle (but the reviews I read online after I got it were less than stellar- wish I'd read that first!). I don't usually mouth breathe at night but I know I did one day this week. I've been taking my temp under my tongue as well.

I'm starting to feel crampy already so I hope I'm not going to end up with a ridiculously short LP again

I always get my temp rise the day AFTER the high that follows the two peak days (so I have peak, peak, high, and then the temp rise the next day).
