Induction scheduled, but bought myself some time

Ah, whew. So I was a little worried because my OB was talking about inducing by 41 weeks, but we agreed instead on a non-stress test Monday, which would be 41 weeks, and postponing induction (unless otherwise indicated) until Thursday, which would be 41 + 3. I'm still not thrilled, but at least I have a few more days to try and get this baby moving out!

So send me some positive baby birthing thoughts, please!

Can you find a masseuse who has been trained in prenatal massage and accupressure? I did that on Tuesday morning at 9:30 (41+2) and went into labor (for a very fast labor!) at 7 pm.

I think last time rubbing my nipples got me into labor, just be careful not to overdo it. I think I did and had pretty intense contractions, but then who knows, maybe they would've been that way anyhow. Oh, and I'm DDC crashing from April, so I don't know if there is a good reason your doc is worried about you going over, but mine let me go 17 days over without much fuss last time. Well, OK, it took some negotiating, but still. I hope you go soon!

I really need to do more nipple stim...it's just uncomfortable. But I can take heavy contrax from oxytocin overload - I did a pit induction last time, so I figure it can't be as bad as that!

Awesome! Went in for a fetal non-stress test today (at my 41 week mark) and passed with flying colors. Also did a cervical check to assess favorability for induction, and I'm already 80% effaced and 3-4 cm dilated, so if we DO decide to go with a Thursday induction, I feel confident that it'll go well.

However, I bet this baby'll come out on its own before then. So I feel pretty good!

I bet we'll have a baby soon.
