Is my baby constipated?

DD is just shy of 3 weeks old. She hasn't had a bowel movement in about 16 hours. She is making a lot of grunting noises. She is having smears of stool in her diaper but no real poops!


She is being fed my expressed breastmilk through a bottle, as she has yet to learn to latch.

Could she be constipated?>?

What have you done to help a constipated baby this young?

I bet she's hit the 3 week growth spurt and is just making good use of all that milk! If she is exclusively breastfed it would be really unlikely that she is truely constipated.

Hang in there, Mama! Some tummy rubs and bicycle legs may help her to poop.
