Got rid of a major clutter item today, the TV/VCR/DVD player!

I never in my life ever thought I would not have a TV. Today I freecycled the 25" screen eyesore thats been sitting in my living room collecting clutter along with the VCR and DVD player. Its only been turned on a couple of times since everything went digital over a year ago(the new signal doesn't reach here) and we lost the local free channels. Now we watch everything online anyway, feels freeing to clear up all that space

I could never do that! The un-internet TV is my savior when I'm sick because I don't need to make sure the kids don't accidentally click on something they shouldn't see. They'll only see what the DVD has on it, and that's all.

The kids are really good at sticking to the sites I approve since there all bookmarked. Plus I can and have in the past turned on parental controls and locked down the internet to sites I approve only.

Yep, thankfully they have only followed kid safe ones, I'm usually in the room or at the very least can hear with there doing.

There''s also http://www.totlol.com/ , which is a site with youtube videos screened to only have kid-safe ones, and http://www.videoplaylist.org/ , where you can set up a list of youtube videos so kids can choose only from the ones on the list.
