Toy question. Any experience with Caillou treehouse?

Hi,
I am thinking about buying a toy but I can't find ANY reviews.
It seem really neat and my God Son is crazy about Caillou and it sounds
like great idea for his birthday gift. I know he would go bananas.
But the problem is that I can't find it new and cheeper, I only
saw one on ebay that seem relatively new and it cost tons of cabbage ..
so I would appreciate any input.

Is this a good toy? Do you have any other recommendation for almost 4 years old boy. I need it to be really great toy, non violent, no tanks, no guns kind of things and I want it to be reather impressive as I did not give him much of anything so far as now we have bit better budget so I want to make up for it.

I don't have any experience with that toy, but what about looking for just the Caillou figure(s) on ebay and then some Magna Tiles. Seriously, they are fabulous:

And much more open ended. He can build Caillou his own house then. The thing is, at turning four, your DS's Caillou obsession is going to end in a few months and he'll move on to something else.

No idea about it, but the one you're looking at is used; what's wrong with just buying used? He won't know the difference.

can't believe i stumbled across this thread! we have a caillou freak here...got dd this treehouse on ebay for christmas & it is great. i kept losing out to people willing to go higher but finally got it for the higher end of what we were willing to go. around the holidays, the demand for this treehouse was crazy & they would all start at $15-45 & end up over $100. Some went for more. All USED.

our seller was awesome, it was in used but perfect condition, cleaned etc. i cleaned it again of course. we also got leo, sarah, clementine, rosie & caillou from another ebay seller.

it gets played with in our house. very well made (little tikes). it's a nice toy.
