My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
To anyone looking for a carrier, BECO is the brand!
I recently had purchased the Gemini, great carrier! It has everything you will ever need and want, its ergonomic, comfy, organic, made...
anyone else living for friday when they can go see this? i sure am. looks like a great story and, well, i'm sure not opposed to gawking at viggo for the length of the movie. heehee, i can't wait!
hmmmmm, Viggo. He is just so darn hot! I can't go Friday, but I do plan on going as soon as I can. My dh even thinks the story looks pretty good, so he won't mind taking me to lust after Viggo for a few hours.
i saw a poster for this movie recently and the picture of viggo took my breath away.
what is it about this man?
dh and i are planning a date so we can see the film. i'm relieved that dh is tolerant and good humored about my crush on viggo. i've been wanting to rent all of the films he's in (so far, besides lotr, i've seen walk on the moon and a perfect murder).
when is a crush on a movie star just too much?
i'm just so impressed by viggo mortensen's talent: acting, poetry, visual art, music. and he's politically correct too. and of course, just beautiful to watch on screen.
i haven't had a crush on a celebrity since i was in grade school!
I wasn't interested in seeing it until I read a bit about the movie in the paper the other day. Viggo went on and on about how much personality and talent one particular horse had. Viggo does most of his own riding, which I think is impressive. So I want to see him and his horse now. He now owns that horse and two that he rode in LOTR.
Viggo Mortenssen has grown on me. I'd never heard of him and was seriously disappointed to find he was playing Strider/Aragorn. The actor who plays Boromir is much more like what I've been imagining Aragorn looks like for the past 25 years. But I'll admit he's pretty sexy now! The whole spread on him in Vanity Fair helped.

Ummm...wow! I've loved him for a long time but didn't know that!! He just went up a few more noyches on my celeb. crush list!!
did anyone see him on david letterman last night? he was wearing a very charming suit. a little startling really. i expected him to be much more casual. he is so humble though. and he doesn't own a tv!!!!!!
I just read the review in the NY Times. It said something along the lines of 'watching the movie is like eating a whole pot of broccoli to get a couple of jelly beans.' :LOL
Our local movie reviewer gave it 3 out of 5 stars. He really liked it, saying "Hidalgo is a rousing popcorn adventure, old-fashioned and rather innocent. It works." Though the family viewing reviewer warned that teens sensitive to animal cruelty should avoid it.
In anycase, I got a baby-sitter and we're seeing it tonight!
my mom is going to babysit tonight, so dh and i can go and see a movie. we've considered seeing hidalgo, though i feel like the only thing leading me to it is viggo. i don't think i would be that interested otherwise.
last night i rented "the indian runner" starring HIM. it was a brutal, brutal flick, but really well done (produced and directed by sean penn) and a *whole lot* of viggo (including a full frontal nude shot). he does an amazing job acting out a crazed southern vietnam vet. but besides that, and besides the brutality, there are some very tender and beautiful scenes. great soundtrack too. but depressing.
i think my viggo obsession is beginning to cool out now! that was enough for a while. that and maybe hidalgo!
We saw Hidalgo. I agree, we wouldn't have seen it if it weren't for Viggo. It was good, slow in some spots, great in some spots. I really cared about him and the horse Hidalgo, but not most of the rest of the characters. Omar Sharrif's character was the only other one that was fleshed out and interesting.
Dh said he would have waited for it to rent, but I figured that big sand storm scene needed the big screen.
It's good, but wouldn't be much without Viggo and the horse.
we saw it last night too and really enjoyed it. there were some slow moments, but for the most part lots of action and good adventure. i read a review in my local paper that said there wasn't enough character development but i don't really agree with it. i feel like frank's character was pretty clear, and most of the other characters were just incidental anyway. it was definitely "disney" in parts, a bit sensationalized and overdone, but for anyone unsure of whether or not to go, i would recommend it because it's fun! and of course viggo was fantastic. and yes, the sandstorm is probably best seen on the big screen. not for little kids though; lots of spears through the gut and that kind of thing.
thanks for that link. you know, the more i learn about him the more i like him. i'm kind of annoyed by that. really, i'm too old for movie star crushes. why couldn't he be some football watching, out wrenching on the car, beer drinking, belching slob like so many men. ooohhh noooo, he has to be hot, smart, creative, talented and a good dad. hurrumph.:
and i still haven't seen hidalgo. i've been too busy.
