hand-me-down breast pump

I was thinking of lending my other breast pump to my SIL. Is it safe to do so? I haven't used that one for a while. It was a manual pump

It seems like most manual pumps can be taken apart and fully cleaned, so i don't see why not. I've even used my sister's electric pump before, both with my own tubing and with hers. The companies say not to lend pumps and i realize that with some of the electric ones there's a remote chance of somehow something getting back into the tubing... or something like that... but wouldn't that happen regardless of who's using the pump (meaning original owner or borrower). I think part of it is that the pump companies want to make sure that new mom's spend a bunch of money on a pump, but I'm a skeptic.
