plastic air mattress -- now what?

I've probably thrown 3-5 air mattresses in the landfill and would like to find an alternative solution for this last air mattress. It wouldn't stay filled up so I threw it outside this winter (smart, right? I think it was impulsive and from frustration).

How can it be reused, repurposed or recycled?

Do you have anything that needs to be covered outside. My first thought is that you could cut off one long side and slide it over a bike.

Not sure if I can link this or not, but it's pretty genius. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=336389.0

Super awesome idea!

That's a great idea! Maybe you could also make covers for smaller outdoor furniture?

I have two beds to recycle. Love the shopping bag idea I'm going to use that. I think I'm going to cut open the other and use it as a tarp for out side. It would work well to cover my patio table or grill this winter.

Making a water-proof picnic blanket was what I did with an old blow-up mattress.  Fabric on one side, mattress on the other.
