What to watch?

We haven't had cable since 1998 or so (still don't have it). When we want to watch something we get the dvd.

Recently we watched Firefly (awesome,awesome, awesome!), Freaks and Geeks (awesome) and Undeclared (ok).

Dh is watching Farscape, but I can't get into it. He also watched BSG, so don't suggest that.

We like comedies and scifi.

Anything really good out there? I was never sad about ditching cable because there was just so much junk on tv anyway but it seems we missed a couple of great shows.

Right now I am watching the first Season of Big Bang Theory and I am loving it.

Yeah, I don't like Lost.

I'm going to try Big Bang Theory, also trying to get my hands on Blackpool (BBC).

Oh, I almost forgot! Have you guys tried Heroes? The first season was excellent, then the quality dropped off a bit, but season 4 was really good, so it's worth sticking with.

Keep trying with Farscape. Dh tried to get me too watch it for a few years. It wasn't until we were without cable for a couple of months until I finally did; I started to follow (not having to ask questions ever other minute) and like it in the second season.

The relationship between Aeryn and Crichton gets intense! One day I'll get around to watching Babylon 5.

Also, Dr. Who and Torchwood. I would watch the Dr. through the "Martha" season before starting Torchwood as the latter is a spin-off. Also, Torchwood is a lot darker and more "adult."

I loved "Dead Like Me"; there is a follow-up TV-movie for this show.

Haven't done Buffy or Angel, not really into the vampire thing. I'm done with Dr. Who now that Tennant is gone... We watched some earlier episodes of Torchwood and didn't like. We did like the last mini series they did "Children of Earth" I think it was called. I'll have to look up the last two.

HIMYM we are already watching and I'm working on getting Big Bang Theory.

I can't do it. The original office was brilliant and can't bring myself to watch the Americanized version.

Fringe sounds good, but IMDB says it's horror? Don't know if I could handle that.

I wouldn't call Fringe horror, more sci-fi than anything... though I haven't seen the whole first season, and have yet to see any of the second season.

I've been trying to get into FlashForward, but haven't been able to commit. I watched the first episode and liked it, I just need to sit aside some time to watch the rest. I guess I'll have time in nine weeks when LOST ends

Gilmore Girls is a drama, I guess, but it's such a funny and witty drama that I think it fits in a category of its own!

Fringe is more X-Files-ish with a lot of mad scientist mixed in.

I don't think I would call it "horror"

Dh and I watch it.

I probably found a lot of X-Files scarier but parasites freak me out
