How much milk for 9 m/o?

How many ounces should a 9 m/o be getting a day? My niece is eating solids (cereal, fruits, veggies, cheese, egg yolks, beans) and eats very well. However, she only weighs 14 lb and nurses 2-3 x/day and only for a few minutes each time. The only other liquid she gets is water in a sippy cup. Is she getting enough BM? Please weigh in.

Before a year it is recommended that babies breastfeed before eating solids - breastmilk should still make up the bulk of their nutrition, plus provide immunity etc.

I have this question too - my dd much prefers eating solids over nursing or bottles. I nurse 2-3 x day, but my supply is incredibly low so I think she is getting only 2 -3 ounces per nursing. Her nanny says she does not usually finish a 3.5 ounce bottle, so the remainder is used for her rice cereal or mixed with pureed veggies. On occasion she drinks the entire bottle. Sometimes I have a 5 ounce bottle and she never seems to finish that size. I am guessing she is getting 15 ounces/day of breast milk. She is gaining weight but dropped from the 80% when she was 0 - 4/5 months old, to now 30/40% at 8, 9 & 10 months old. My dd is 17+ lbs. 14 lbs for 9.5 mo old seems on the low end. Is it possible for your niece to add more breast milk?
