Ok, so I am hoping to have my baby this week but want to figure out my strategy in advance. I live near Washington DC and the pollen count has started to rise. My husband thinks his allergies are starting to act up. When it is really bad we have to close the windows and turn on the AC (which I hate doing when it is 70 degrees outside).
Is it better to just go ahead and close the windows now, or is it ok to have the newborn exposed to the pollen etc? I keep hearing news reports that it toughens them up. But I don't want the poor babe to have an allergic reaction of course.
