pregnant and nursing

My DS is 11.5 months old and I am 12 weeks pregnant. He still nurses many times a day and night, but I don't think he is getting much milk right now. My question is should I start to give him a few bottles of formula a day or would you just give him whole milk since he is almost a year? I plan to tandem nurse so I just need to get through the next 6 months until my milk is back. He does eat solids, but I don't think that alone is enough.

I tandemed nursed dd2 and my ds but my dd was much older when I got pregnant so I wasn't worried about her just dry nursing. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

i was in the same position and decided to supplement with whole milk yogurt, flax oil in rice milk (because he wouldn't drink cow's milk until around 15 months or so), and other sources of healthy fats. that doesn't mean you shouldn't use formula, though. my baby was really chunky and had a great appetite, so i figured he would be "safe" as long as i kept offering him lots of good food, and he was.

as far as him being 11.5 months rather than 12? i don't think the two weeks really matter.
