Glad you found peace with having the test and that the results were at least in part positive.

As far as I can reason it, I'd imagine you'd still see a temp shift since that's due to the corpus luteum making progesterone and the CL doesn't know where the egg has gone, just that it's been expelled.

Yes indeed... your temp shift is not from the egg traveling down the fallopian tube as katie already said, its from the luteal cyst that forms after the egg releases producing progesterone. This is why an HSG would still be necessary even after having a seemingly normal looking chart.

I am sorry you didn't get the answer you necessarily wanted (with either the BFP or the HSG) but here's hoping that knowing makes it easier to come up with a "game plan"!
(and I agree that you should still see the temp rise)
