How much PP bleeding is ok?

I had stopped bleeding completely by 4.5 weeks pp, so just shy of 6 wks I started running again. Last week I had three short but good runs with no bleeding, then yesterday I did some heavy lifting and started bleeding a bit. This morning my pad was empty so off I went to the gym and after my run noticed a small amount of bleeding again, 2 hrs post run and it has stopped.

So my question, could I be doing damage? How much bleeding is too much?

It's normal to bleed more if you do too much. If it eases with rest it's probably nothing of concern. That said, if I was still bleeding past six weeks or so I'd get it checked to be on the safe side.

I was one of the 'lucky' ones who did bleed for six weeks (albeit lightly) and I'd have been getting it checked if it had carried on or increased.
