Your Tummy's Talking - by Jean M. Cochran

I have the BEST book for you - "Your Tummy's Talking!" by Jean M. Cochran (who happens to be my sister).

It is a picture book about "attuned eating" which is being tuned in to our bodies cues for hunger and eating. The concept of the book is that your tummy has lots to say, both when it is hungry (feed me) and when it is not hungry as well (aaaah, satisfied). The book contains a forward by Jane Hirschman, author of "Overcoming Overeating" and "When Women Stop Hating Their Bodies."

My sister was on CNN and GMA to talk about attuned eating and she's been teaching her own children attuned eating since they could eat (the oldest is now 12 and we see the positive effects of this method).

I read it to my 7 month old because he enjoys the lilting verse and the colorful pix.

Highly recommended, even if I wasn't related to Jean, I swear!
