So mamas that used it, did you like it?

Did I? I gave birth to a beautiful 10lb 9oz babe 99% without pain!!! I'm still on a major birth high because it was such and awesome, awesome, awesome birth!

I was kinda skeptical if it'd work or not and it totally blew me away with how well it worked. My husband is totally sold on it as well, he too thought it was a joke though he didn't tell me that until afterwards!

me too!! I hypnobabies!! my birth went amazing, but beyond that it was great during pregnancy, too. I wouldn't say it was completely pain free, to me, but it was mostly pain free, just took a lot more concentration than I expected. I couldn't be more thrilled

I liked it for the most part.
My fam commented on how well I was dealing with the waves and I looked like I wasn't in pain most of the time. It helped me stay positive and get through each wave one at a time.

how often did you guys practice the relaxation techniques beforehand?
Did you practice all the visualizations regularly, just listen to the relaxations...?

I didn't do the fingerdrop practice as much as i should have... and we didn't do the partner thing at all... I just didn't really feel like I wanted it to be more than me? i did the affirmations pretty much daily and the hypnosis sessions daily.

Thanks,
That is pretty much the same thing I've been doing. I'm glad to know it was still helpful without doing stringent partner practice.

So this applies only to me. I was really excited to do the hypnobabies, so excited I used my birthday money to buy it. I practiced religiously for about 7 weeks, but didn't do anything the last 3 weeks. I didn't want to be anesthitized, but that's what the scripts were asking me to do with hypnosis.

I didn't use it in labor, I appreciate it for the calming if gave me during pregnancy. Except for my inital resistance to pushing, pain caused by fighting against my body, I had no pain. It was very intense, 4 hours of contracting, only 40 minutes requiring my attention, only 4 pushes to deliver. Is this because of hypnobabies practice? Maybe, the visualizations, the affirmations, the fear clearing were all wonderful and powerful.

toward the end of my pregnancy, I did some of the stuff more often if i got a chance. i just normally don't like to be touched in labor so i didn't really have any interest in the partner part. It may have helped toward the end, though... I'm still thrilled with how the whole thing went, though

This is just the inspiration I need to do my final push! When did y'all start your Birth Affirmations?
I did birth affirmations anytime I thought it *might* be it. Mostly b/c w/the last baby, I was completely not believing I was in labor for most of it, and I think it held me back, so I wanted to be open to it if it was it, if that makes sense? In the real thing I started my birth day affirmations after my first call to the midwife, but before the second... just sort of a "this could be it" kind of way.
