*forgive me, I have to make this quick cause kids are getting into bed*

I am on a clomid cycle (my 4th medicated) but it is my first cycle using the trigger shot (Ovidrel). I am suppose to trigger tonight and the nurse said to have sex tonight and then again on Wednesday morning but not tomorrow. . that makes me nervous. So i was thinking about doing it tomorrow morning and wednesday morning instead of tonight. . .

What would you do? When do you think the best timing would be. . I so don't want to miss our shot! It is almost worse when you KNOW you will ovulate in a 24-48 hours. . .how do you know when is best?

Thanks girls!

i know that is what they tell you, but does dh have any sperm issues? if he does not, i wouldnt worry too much- do it tonight and then see.

deep breath, all is good. she just didn't want you to wear your self out, since there is litle to no benefit to constant BDing, it is best to do it every 36-48 hours. the sperm will live in a fertile environment for a few days, up to 4-5 so you will be more than covered.
the goal is to have sperm up in the tubes waiting for the egg the moment it is released, since it is the egg that only lives 12-24 hours.

so if you are taking the shot tonight, do it tonight and then once again in the 48. dont fret too much when. you are going to have a better environment for sperm if you are aroused and hydrated. so maybe focus on that and how much you love your partner.

Thanks girls!

I know, it is just so overwhelming and I just want to get it right. I guess we'll just do it tonight and then Wednesday morning like the nurse said.

Fingers crossed! We took a break for a few months and this is our first cycle back in the game with a new game plan. . .had my ultrasound this morning and I have the largest follicle I've had in a year, so hoping that's good news!

Yep sounds like good advice. We have been doing iui's 36hrs after the trigger and I sometimes think it should be sooner.

I'd follow her advice. It can be beneficial to sperm quality & quantity if there is "recovery" time in between.

Listen to your nurse! It sounds like she has it right!

Think of it this way, do it tonight and tomorrow you can tease the heck out of dh, so he is dying by wens lol... could be fun!!

Have fun! I will be praying for you!
