Mattress Cover

I just bought a new mattress ($600) and want to protect it from my co-sleeping 28 mo. I swear, there is no diaper brand/combo etc the stops a woody-pee fountain

I will also have a newborn by the end of April.

Can anyone recommend a waterproof mattress pad that is not completely noisy or smell like chemicals?
