Why is every vegetarian I know, very slim? - Page 2

I was never over 125 pounds when I was vegan, except during pregnancy. I was vegan for six years. I gained a lot of weight with baby #4 (eating omnivore-ish) and hung onto it until recently.

I lost 17 pounds between January and now by going back to being mostly vegan and exercising a LOT. I'm hoping to lose another 20 pounds by summer and get back to my pre-baby #4 shape.

Like many pp, I am of the opinion that obesity is caused by excess carbs and the disgusting amount of sugar we consume in north america.

Veg*n's that eat a mostly plant based diet are going to be WAY better off than the pasta/bread/rice/soy/fankenfood eating veg*ns.

Omni's that eat a mostly plant based and meat diet are going to be WAY better off than the pasta/bread/rice/soy/fankenfood eating omnis.

I don't see much of a difference. If you eat SAD, it really doesn't matter if you include meat or not. You're not eating healthy.
