Looking for Little Girl Doll, not a Barbie, Bratz, Liv

Trying to satisfy my dd's request for a pretty doll with clothes to dress without introducing her to the world of make-up, boobs and high heels. Don't want to buy Barbie dolls. Looking for a doll that is a little girl. Not the Bratz dolls. She likes the Groovy Girls, but kind of looking for a rigid-bodied doll.

When DD was asking for Barbies and told us that it's because you can dress them, we bought her an Only Hearts Club doll. They are about the size of a Barbie and somewhat rigid, although you can pose the arms and legs. You can buy different outfits to change them into and out of. DD likes it but still wants a Barbie. Maybe you'll have more luck with them.

I agree the Only Hearts club dolls are really nice! (Target has them.) When I was a kid, I loved the Strawberry Shortcake dolls too.

We have an Only Hearts Club doll as well.

Strawberry Shortcake dolls are inexpensive and fun to dress.

I quite like the Corolle dolls. They do a 'big girl' doll version so not like a baby doll.

I think they are kinda like a better version of those American Girl dolls!

We love our Corolle baby doll! I can definitely see DD playing with these "big girl" dolls when she gets older.

Dd has some of the Only Hearts Club dolls. We've also started collecting the mini American Girl dolls to go along with the books that we're reading.

Can you change the clothes on the mini American Girl dolls?
