overactive letdown - how long did it last?

This is my second baby. I had leaking issues with my first but it seems to be worse this time. DD has a good latch and is thriving but the poor little thing gets overwhelmed by the milk gushing out. If she comes off she gets sprayed in the face. She is very gassy and I think this is why. Also, I leak so much from the other side when I nurse her. I still haven't found the solution for that if I'm out. If I'm at home I lift my shirt and stuff a receiving blanket in there. It is usually soaked afterwards.


How long did this last if you had this problem? I don't remember how long I had this problem with DS but, like I said, it's worse this time.

My son is 4 months old, and I still spray milk during let down if he unlatches. It's worse in the morning when he hasn't nursed at night. I also leak from the breast he's not nursing on, and I often soak a disposable Lanisoh pad overnight. It has gotten better, but I still feel like I have some oversupply going on.
