I'm weighing our options for history still. I'm narrowed down to Sonlight 1+2 and Winter Promise Hideaways in History. I want to be able to slow it down to do half pace if we want to, which is why I'm looking at 1+2 instead of 1 and then 2 with Sonlight. But I can't decide which I like better. My dh wants me to do world history this upcoming year with the kids; if he wasn't saying this I'd probably do something completely different with the kids. So which would you think? History is taking a back seat to math and reading for at least one or two school years, acting more as an elective for us while we build the foundation. We don't want a textbook-based program, and we have experience with Sonlight already (done P3/4, P4/5, core K, science K, and LA K and 1) so we know that if we do SL that we'll need to slow it to last 2 or 2 1/2 years to fit our particular desires with history. I have NO experience with WP but it is really appealing to us because of the added hands-on stuff (ok and the price is better for our budget too)
