My aunt had a surprise baby five years ago at 45. Her youngest was 20 at the time. She thought she was going through "the change" early until she was almost 5 months along.

So, yeah it happened in my family too.

I conceived easily at 43! (Well, almost 43 - got the positive test on the morning of my 43rd birthday.) I had my first at 40, after trying unsuccessfully for a while and eventually doing IVF. It took a long time for me to get my first PP period - it finally happened just before DD turned 2. The first month I knew I was ovulating, it didn't work out to DTD at the right time. The second month, it did, we did, and that was all it took. (My infertility was unexplained, so it's not like getting pregnant on my own was a miracle, but I never would have guessed it would happen, not only naturally, but on the first try!)
