homeopathic PROBIOTIC - gluten/milk/cornFREE ?

hello!

my dd (4) is fighting constantly with a low intestine flora. our homeopath suggested to take probiotics for a while to support her immune system as well to re-build her flora.

i am looking for "natural" probiotics - no joghurt though since she is milk-allergic.

any suggestions?

Willing to consider making your own kimchee or pickles? There are lots of kinds of fermented vegetables, these are our favorites.

Here's a whole thread discussing how to ferment vegetables, it's WAY easier than it seems at first...

milk allergic or milk intolerant?
We use www.giprohealth.com probiotics and non-dairy yogurt starter (I make coconut milk yogurt). It has a microscopic amount of dairy in it (my DS is highly intolerant to milk and very sensitive to it and he tolerates it, but for an allergy, I wouldn't advise it).
Do you know what flora she's low in?

thank you all for the advice. unfortunately i have a very picky eater here, she nearly does not eat any veggies - or fermented food at all!

she is milk allergic - tested and diagnosed. we have been skipping milk for 3 years. though i am not sure how strong her allergy is. when she reacted she was 1 year old and had an immediate skin reaction (red spots all over) but no breathing problem or so.

here the test result of the stool sample, measured in KbE/ml
:

bacterial examination:
e-coli bacterias: < 10.4 too low (average is 10.6-10.7)
citrobacter spec. 10.7-10,9 too high (average is 10.4)
other enterobacteriaceae 10.5-10.6 too high (average is 10.4)
lactobacillus spec. 10.4 too low (average is 10.5-10.7)

mykological stool examination:
ph-value 7.5 too high (average is 6.2-6.8)

fortunately there are no candidas!

we use Klaire labs probiotics.

Not "natural" as in they don't come from food, but if your child won't eat fermented foods or drink water kefir ect, you may have to opt for a supplement. Klaire labs stuff is hypoallergenic...no dairy, no soy, no corn etc....

I've been wanting to try Klaire labs probiotics for my ds, but I'm not sure where to buy it without a doctor setting it up first. I don't think my doctor would be helpful there

you can get it from places without a doc, however they (Klaire labs) can't vauge for the product since they are not selling it directly. Here is 1 such place
http://www.naturamart.com/klaire-labs.html

Our ND opened an account for us so we get it directly from Kliare. Do you know a chiro or nd in your area?? Wouldn't hurt to ask your MD...worst they can say is no. They don't have to acutally order it for you, they just have to call and set up an account for you.

DS is dairy, soy, corn (eggs and garlic too) free.

We LOVE this one:

It is safe for him to take (company verified the corn free part) and doesn't cost a fortune.

Good luck!

Rachel

PS it is a capsule but I just break it open and mix with EMB or water for DS

Water kefir is as easy as making lemonade, tastes about the same and you only need a teaspoon to receive HUGE probiotic benefits. Hidden easily in juice or smoothies.

DS couldn't handle fermented kefir or veggies, we had to do bottled probiotics.

Pharmax are grown on agar, human strain and allergen free.
