Question? how many of you use your urine stream to test and how many of you use the cup collection method. I just read somewhere online that the cup collection is more accurate.

I use the pee-cup method. I don't trust myself to actually poas for a specified amount of time.. esp in the a.m.

Getting kind of frustrated ladies. Even thinking of getting rid of my monitor!

This is my second cycle with the monitor and again, high readings but no peaks. I already ovulated yesterday (temp) and still no peak. Anyone know they are ovulating but never get any peaks? Is the monitor still "getting to know me" ?

i;m frustrated too. how long have u been using ur monitor bunzie? how do u know u o'd?

this is my 6th month or 5th month using the monitor. im on cd 16 and it gave me my 6th high reading today. my opk's had a line that was not quite positive on cd 8 and 9 and then the line completely disappeared. don't quite understand this cycle but if anyone would be so kind as to look at my chart i would appreciate it....

Iheartmyfamily This is my second cycle with the monitor. I know I O'ed because I also chart/temp.

After taking a look at your chart it definately looks like you have not O'ed yet.

Maybe you and I have a quick surge that happens too late or early for the monitor to pick up with FMU. We may not be good candidates for this monitor thing and better off charting/temping (which I hate because it stresses me out).

Sure would like to know either way.

First off, I've been a bad threadkeeper, so sorry. We had a terrible stomach bug that floored the whole household, just now coming up for air.
I'll keep on it now, promise, I'd love to keep this thread alive.

I'm tearing my hair out with the monitor this month...
this is the 3rd month this go-round I've used it.
1st month, I reset it. I anticipated a long cycle but was wrong and started the monitor after I O'd. oops. So only Lows.
2nd months, I reset again. Started on CD6. Got 18? Highs, no peak. Possibly an anov cycle by my chart.
this month- I didn't reset it, but it didn't start asking for sticks until CD9. HUH?? I guess it doesn't matter, tho, cuz I'm reading Low still. I just assumed since it didn't catch a peak last month.

thought id just update everyone

last cycle (second cycle using it) i got only highs and lows..
the first month i got a peak ...

so this cycle i re-set it! ... hopefully i will get a peak!! :P

im on CD7 ... reading LOW!

clh - did u use the monitor throughout the whole month on the month where u got no peak? did u get any positive opks that month and did ur chart confirm o?

babygrey - its normal not to ask for sticks until cd9. nobody ovulates before then unless u get your period every 20 days. i also had days of bleeding after the hsg, very heavy at times like a period.

bunzie mom - whats going on w u? did u o?

afm - my monitor gave me 8 highs this month! weird! i now peaked. when i got my first high i began taking opks and the lines were getting darker for two days, but not positive. then all of a sudden the lines disappeared. so the monitor stayed at high and the opks went blank. got a positive opk yesterday and today and two peak readings on the monitor, altho it didnt ask for a stick today. my temp went up tho so not sure if i o'd yesterday. would my opk still be positive if i o'd yesterday? hmmm. confused. i guess we'll bd again tonight. unfortunately i got bad news, dh sperm morphology is abnormal at 2% normal with 14% being the general avg. dr said i probably wont get pregnant naturally but we did conceive once that ended in mc. then i did some research and saw that some drs dont put too much weight into morphology when volume and motility is normal and others think that the tests are so strict that everyones results arr 2-6% normal. i think i need to start looking for a specialist that can help with his sperm problem and trying to get me pregnant. i dont even know what type of dr to look for. any suggestions?

just checking in ladies:

I have made peace with my monitor. I finally recieved my first peaks (2nd cycle using monitor) the day before yesterday and yesterday. As per my temps sure enough I ovulated yesterday on CD 17.

FYI the monitor started asking for sticks this cycle on CD 7 so exactly 10 sticks later I got my first peak. Wow VERY accurate!

Yeah, I used all 20 sticks and on the last one it went back to low! and AF found me a day later! ....

I did get a + OPK on CD12 and EWCM, so Maybe my monitor missed it, iv only started charting this month so Im not sure if i did O last cycle

Iv re-set it for this month, hopefully il get a peak

and sorry I dont have any suggestions for a specialist, good luck though

CLH_X3- last month, I, too, used all 20 sticks, then went to Low on the last day... I wonder if it is programed to go to Low on the 20th stick?

iheartmyfamily on SA results. I hope it means good things that you have conceived once. I think sometimes docs put too much emphasis on numbers.. cuz, really, it only takes one. Still a rough thing to deal with. I would guess an RE would deal with sperm, but maybe a urologist?

Re OPKs- I don't have tons of experience, but I don't think it should be + AFTER O. I don't think I have a link to your chart- did your temp stay up for O to be confirmed or is it possible you geared up to O (hence the peaks and +opks) but then haven't yet?

bunziemom FX- when are you planning to test? Obsesser or Zen about it?

AFM- apparently, all I had to do was whine about being on Low cuz today I got a High I'm hoping it is the real thing this month and I'll see a Peak (last month's chart looked pretty anov, tho my HSG could've thrown it off). I'm finally feeling somewhat human today, so hopefully getting down to BD'ing..

Speaking of, don't think I updated on my HSG here (Had a super stress out thread on the main around that time) I have a blocked right tube. Doc tried to clear it, but couldn't get it all the way clear. He said probably not open enuf to be considered functional. We're gonna try for a while w/ the hope of the left tube. (*thinking good left tube thoughts* )

I normally ovulate on dc 16 or 17. What do you think would happen if I didn't give it a stick when it asks on cd 5, but I wait for later, say cd 8... I just don't want to have to use 20 sticks...

if it were me, being the first cycle using it, I'd probably feed it all the sticks it wanted, just so it can get to know your cycle. That said, if you are positive you never O before 16 or 17, you'd probably be just fine waiting for later. Totally hear you about wanting to conserve the sticks. (a word of experience- I "thought" I NEVER O'd before CD 17-20, so the first month, I started the monitor on CD12. and I O'd on CD12. . The monitor didn't catch it)

AFM, all highs again this month. I think I'm on 8 or 9 or something... FF gave me crosshairs today that match with my CM, but no Peak. What gives?

? for those who obsess about the sticks- my LH line never got dark. On the day FF says I O'd, it was darker, but still light and my E line was super dark. For those who get peak- do you ever get a peak when your LH line is light?
Had an anov cycle last month. Hoping to not repeat. gah.

Jenger I O around CD 16/17 as well and the first cycle was rough with 20 sticks and lots of highs but Iam glad I stuck it out because the 2ned cycle with the monitor was only 10 sticks and I got 5 Highs and 2 peaks.

AFM 9 DPO to day. NOT feeling pregnant. Maybe testing tomorrow am.

But this %*#$&(#$&@#(&$ monitor NEVER gave me a peak! I got two + OPKs tho. And my temps are up, and the EWCM has dried up, so I'm sure I O'd. WTH?

I started at high, for pete's sake... on day 5! Never got a low, went straight to high and stayed there... no peaks. GRR. I'm about ready to throw this thing out!

I am already over the peak- (cd 20, 3dpo)

What should I do, if anything?
