Would this work?

I have a ton of sets of body wash/lotion and spray combos. I would like to declutter them because I don't use them. I have used them once or twice in the past though, so the local shelters wont take them.

Would it be totally strange for me to put them in the kitchen at work with a "Free to a good home" sign on them? I figure sprays and lotions would be fine, I just wonder about the body wash. I can't tell if that is creepy and weird or not What do you think? I hate to throw them away!

I would definitely do that. I don't think it is weird at all. A lot of people will take something for free even if it has been slightly used. The product in the container is not used so I don't see the problem.

I think it might work depending on where you work. Maybe in the ladies room would be better than the kitchen though.

I agree, and I bring lotions I don't use to work so they can get used up. Since I work in health care people are all the time needing lotion for there hands due to all the washing.

I am not working outside the home these days. I take those types of items to my DD's school. There is one "adult" restroom in the front of the school and one in the back of the school (for females), so I alternate which one I leave items for the teachers. For a bunch of items, I would leave them in the teacher's lounge (which is also the "kitchen") on the big table.

In the three previous years, I gifted my DD's teacher first in the school year and then did the above. This year, she has a male teacher and I haven't gifted him with toiletries, but have continued on with my regular traditions. (I gifted him with food and GC at Christmas.)

ETA: Body washes are snatched up quickly, ime. (I only give them away when it is a scent I simply cannot handle.) Also, I personally use body wash to make hand soap at home since we run out of hand soap often and have NEVER run out of body wash. Body wash is also good for cleaning....sinks, tubs, shoes(!), and random other items.

Yes.... Either the kitchen or bathroom, breakroom area.... stuff like that always goes QUICKLY....

I think that sounds like a great idea! At my workplace, we actually have a "freebie table" set up near the staff entrance for this specific purpose. Anyone can place unwanted items on the table, and most of it goes quickly--bath and body products included. I think someone may take unclaimed items to the local mission after a while.

We have a sales/freebie table in the lunch room where I work, but I work with a couple other girls in my department and we just bring things in and do a casual "I have this, does anyone want it?" annoucement. We've done that with clothes, body products, unused make up, etc. Nice part of being in a small, all-female department!
