DS hasn't been feeling well the past couple of days, and since our peds office was already closed for the day, I decided to take him over to one of those "minute clinic" things at the grocery store.
While we were there I asked the doctor if she could take a quick look at the rash in his diaper area. I said, "he's not circumcised, please do not retract". She quickly said "You NEVER retract an intact penis". She told me that sadly, she had her son circ'd because her DH was adamant about it, but will regret it her whole life. She said he had awful issues with adhesions, and would never in a million years circ again. She went on to say how wonderful it was that we left him intact, and that so many people don't understand the harms of circumcision.
I've just had such bad luck with previous doctors, that it was really nice to have someone commend us for not circ'ing.
Anyhow, just thought I'd share
