Labial adhesions in 4 year old

My daughter has had adhesions of varying degrees since she was about 8 months old. We battled yeast forever and it's believed that was the cause. So, tonight she tells me that her vulva is red, hurts, and she's tired of dribbling pee. I knew she had slightly wet undies the last couple of nights, but I thought she just wasn't wiping well in the middle of the night. It seems that urine is getting trapped behind the adhered skin and dripping out as she moves. So I've decided not to wait on nature any longer and do something to remedy the situation. I know that an estrogen cream is often the first line of defense. I am not opposed to doing that it we need to, but I'd love to know if there are any other options. Unfortunately, we recently moved and don't have a doc yet, I hate for this have to be her first appt with someone new! I do have a name of a male doc that is supposed to be really good, so at least I'm not just scanning the yellow pages.

So, any advice? Anything to try? Are there different types of estrogen cream with one being more humanely manufactured?

Pat thank you very much for the links! Unfortunately they all deal with babies and toddlers. I did the wait it out thing and it's not gotten any better. The fact that it's bothering her now has me bothered.

We have no signs of an active infection, or anything since finally getting the yeast under control when she was a year old. She eats yogurt daily, has normal healthy stools, etc. We don't use soap, she does use a non-allergenic bath oil due to having some excema. There was some hinting in some of the threads that allergies could be to blame for the initial irritation. I have had her tested for some things, but we may need to look more indepth at allergies.

One of the threads mentioned California Baby Diaper Rash cream helping. Does anyone have any experience with that?
