Need some advice about my son

Thread Starter
So my youngest son will be 2 in July and he has had alot of medical problems. He was diagnosed with seizures when he was around 1 month old and severe sleep apnea and oxygen deceleration when he slept when he was around 2-3 months old. Also he has been diagnosed with a 2 cm. arachnoid cyst, asthma, pyloric spasms, failure to thrive, ( he only weighs 22 pounds, at 5 months he only weighed 10. And is on a diet of 3 pediasures a day for 1100 calories a day plus food) tremors, severe acid reflux, and balance problems. He is currently in speech, developmental intervention and occupational therapies. He can say very little. I had to take him to the E.R the other day and the doctor asked of he been checked for muscle diseases. I just wondered if anyone had an idea what it could be. I have also noticed that he seems to bruise easily, he goes to bed and wakes up with 5-6 little round bruises on his legs normally. With his balance issues, he will be walking or running and just fall over and can't seem to make turns without falling. He couldn't sit supported until 7 months. The thing I am concerned about is the tremors and balance problems because we don't know what is causing it, and now I am freaking out about the whole muscle disease thing. Any help at all would be much appreciated I don't know what to do.

Looking for article

I'm sorry I can't be more help, but your son's list of symptoms reminded me of an article I read last summer in Wired magazine about a man who's mapping his daughter's genes trying to find a cause for her medical problems, some of which sounded like your son's. I tried finding the article online, but haven't had any luck, yet. I'll keep looking and try to find the back-issue at the library and get back to you if I find it.
