Which Bob double?

Thread Starter
I am pregnant with #2 and DD will be 2 in June. I jog a few times a week and plan on training for a 1/2 marathon after #2 comes (not really for time or anything, just to get in shape post baby). I am not a serious runner, and don't put in that many miles each week, but I do want to get a nice jogger.

Which model should I get? Part of me thinks the one with the big bike tires seems better for jogging.... I have a phil and ted that I will be using daily, so this would be mostly for jogging.

Any ideas?

I have the sport utility duallie which has a fixed front wheel, which I guess is better for running. The Ironman is the best for running, it has a fixed front wheel, too, but the wheels are bigger. But...if I could do it all over again, I would buy the revolution, I like the flexibility of being able to unlock the front wheel, it makes it such an easy stroller to push when you are walking or talking it to a crowded place. I think I would say if you are only using it for running, get the Ironman...but if you might use it for things other than just running, get the revolution.

I have the revolution duallie and I love it. The wheel can be fixed or you can let it swivel I'm not a serious runner, but my stroller does see plenty of action. I actually really prefer to jog with the wheel swiveling. I've had my stroller for about 2 1/2 years, it's been off road tons, I jog with it often and it almost always travels with us (it's been to disney world 6 times) and it's still in almost perfect condition. Definately a great purchase!

Just thought I would chime in....I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Bob Revolution Duallie. I thought of getting the one with only the fixed (the ironman, I think), but decided I would get more use out of this one. I definitely do. I use it mostly for running. Actually, if I'm running on a smooth path or street, I even keep the wheel swiveling, which makes it super easy to manuever. If it is bumpy or off-road I lock the wheel.

GREAT stroller!!! YOu will love it ! I thought of getting the one with the 3 smaller aluminum wheels, but opted for the bigger ones and I am glad I did...much nicer for running !

Also, I did end up getting the infant attachment for the carseat because I wanted to start running asap. I was glad to get it, but look for one used maybe because you really don't need it ALL that long especially if you are running on a smooth surface. I layed DS flat and buckled him in pretty early. I thought it was pretty expensive.

Hope that helps.
