Question

Can I say my daughter is "exclusively breastfed" when her diet consists of approximately 3 bottles of breast milk per week and nursing the rest of the time?

I would say so, since her diet contains nothing but breastmilk. Once solids or other liquids are introduced then the 'exclusive' part disappears.

Sometimes in research it is important to be more specific, and then I would say that she is "exclusively breastmilk fed, mostly at the breast."

How old is your little one? Congrats!

in general conversation, absolutely yes. the only case where i would say no is if you were trying to use the LAM method of birth control.

I say yes, because I do say DS is EBF; he gets usually 4-6 bottles of expressed milk a week, depending on how many days I have to go in the office. He is 4 months old also.
