prefolds users: what to do for potty learning?

did you buy new stuff for potty learning or did you stick with prefolds and covers? how did it work? should i buy training pants? thanks

With Ds I was using pocket diapers and the Green Acres Designs were great as they easily slid up and down like a pull up. They were my favorite.

With DD2 we only do prefolds and just take the diaper and cover off (when she wears a cover which is rare). I still have all my pocket diapers but hate the synthetic material and what a pain it is to wash enough that I haven't pulled them back out.

I just let her run around with nothing on her bottom or put her in big girl underwear. If we are out we still use the prefold and cover and do the long process of taking it all off. I am thinking about making a few pairs of trainers just for when we go out to make my life and hers easier.
