wearing 2 at once or just crazy??

Hi:

I have a 10.5 month old DS. I wear him whenever we go anywhere, usually in the Beco (now that its warm on my back), but for short trips in and out i use a ring sling in the hip carry.
I just started to provide childcare for a 11 week old baby this week. (YIKES I KNOW)
Is there any way to wear both of them with reasonable ease, or have i just plundged myself into stroller world?
I do have a homemade moby also.

I've been contemplating putting the baby in a Moby-type wrap and DS on my back in a Mei tei-type carrier. I haven't tried it yet though! I feel you might need assistance getting both on there, but once it's done it would probably be okay.

I do carry DS quite frequently on my hip, not in a sling though, while I have DD in the moby. He doesn't get in the way of her at all. My son is a bit older thant yours though, 24 months, so I would think your son would be okay.

There are several ways to do two at once. with the moby/mei tai combo I would tie the moby on first, then pop the older babe in the mei tai on my back, then tuck the tiny babe into the moby. I've double slung my 2yo and my nb in a single wrap before too (though not with a moby, they're not supportive enough. You need a pretty long wrap. Put the older kiddo up in a ruck carry, and bring the tails under the ruck straps like you're going to tie Tibetan, but instead of a knot, cross them over your chest and tie behind your back. Then you can slip the baby into the x you created, like a fwcc only with out the cummerbund piece. I've also seen people do two ssc (one front, one back) or two ring slings or pouch slings. Use what ever you are comfortable with, but I recommend putting the older kiddo on first, and then the baby in.

My girls are 16m apart in age. I used to use the double stroller and keep a sling in the diaper bag. Most of the time, I wore one baby while pushing the other- but I needed the double stroller so I could have a safe place to put one down before picking up the other one. Infants can't lie down on the ground and toddlers might run off! Any age baby needed her own seat while I was fussing with the other.

I wore whichever baby needed me the most at that moment.

Mine are 12 months apart, so I've done a lot of wearing two. I like ring sling and mei tai. I felt that the Moby wrap was a little bulky to work around, but doable... I've also tried two slings, but you can't DO anything at that point, lol!
