Healthy eating in pregnancy?

Is there already a thread or group for this? I would love some more ideas about how to eat healthy. I'm eating "whole foods" but I was wondering if I should be concerned with my fat/calorie/protein intake? I was using a program online called babyfit to track my nutrition & food and am realizing that I'm consuming a lot more fat than I thought (mostly good fats) and less protein than they suggest and far less calories than they suggest and slightly less carbs, too. So, I'm wondering if I should try to rearrange the types of foods I'm eating.

Fat and protein are the two crucial components of your diet while pregnant. Beyond that being sure you get healthy amounts of (mostly green) vegetables. I do not agree with the general recommendation to concern yourself with carb intake, since most of your starches are not a good source of vitamins - they don't contain anything you can't get from the rest of your diet.

I usually recommend reading up at Blue Ribbon Baby. I don't agree with his recommendations for grains (as above), but the rest of his advice I do agree with. If you do want to include grains/starches in your diet, I highly recommend you fulfill the rest of your dietary requirements and then only if you're still hungry add in starches. Most people wind up filling up on starches/sugars and don't meet the rest of their dietary requirements.
