knitted in peace fleece - too big ...

I probably shouldn't make things when I'm sick - that combined with not having the right size needles for the gage ... but I was bored and didn't want to wait any longer. Now, I finished the diaper cover, but it's slightly too big.

It's a fairly loose knit, and I'd like to shrink it "just a bit" - NOT felt it. I have a front loading washer ... anyone ever done this?

thanks

p.s. It's Daisyhead bloomers, from Ravelry. I'll get a photo tomorrow.

peace fleece takes a lot of work to felt- so you should be fine throwing it in the washer to let it 'full'. It makes it so much prettier too. It will shrink a tiny bit and tighten up the stitches a titch.
