favorite toys for 3 year old boy?

I tried a search on this and couldn't find a thread. DS is about to turn 3, and I am wondering what are your go-to, favorite toys for this age. He likes firetrucks, cars, blocks, and puzzles. He has a train table and a nice Plan doll house, but he doesn't use them too much. Any ideas would be great. I was thinking maybe MagnaTiles was a start?

DS received some Trio blocks for Christmas and we LOVE them. He has so much fun making things with them. There are instructions on how to make specific things, but DS prefers to just make his own up. It can keep him occupied for a long time.

DS is suddenly all about dinosaurs but he also likes playing "farm" with tractors, animals, etc, and he always loves any sort of construction equipment. I bought him a few Bruder pieces that he really likes, especially now that he can use them in the sandbox.

Thanks for the replies! I bought my son some magnetic cars, you can take them apart and build them different ways.

I second the Trio blocks, DS got some for Christmas and they're great! They are easy for him to take apart and put together and I love that he's using his imagination to create things.
