Any way to treat excess lipase other than scalding?

I'm fairly positive I had excess lipase with my first 2 kids. Didn't realize it with the first one, I had to start supplementing with formula and found out he liked the formula better than the expressed breastmilk, so I just did straight formula for daycare (still nursed at home). With my second he just wouldn't drink. Up through a year he'd only take a max of 16 ounces all day. We've had some growth and development concerns with him that I'm worried might be due to his poor intake, so with this next baby coming up I'd like to make sure he/she is drinking enough during the day. I know scalding the milk right after it's pumped will take care of the lipase, but I'll be at work without access to a stove so that option is out for me. Is there anything else I can do? If not, I'm worried I'm going to have to switch to formula during the day if he/she starts taking after my second baby...

I believe that lipase levels (can) change over time. I believe I "developed" lipase at around 9-10 months...and I would spend upwards of 40 minutes to an hour trying to scald in a bottle warmer in my office, three times a day, before I finally gave up pumping.

At the time, I was looking into information about lipase being related to nutrition - or something nutritional that was lacking or out of balance in the mother's body. You are barely 20 weeks, so you have some time to research and work on this if you want to go in that direction. I'm sorry I don't have more specifics for you, but I can't recall enough detail to be helpful.

I was wondering about the nutrition thing, too. It makes sense that something would be out of "whack" and this is how the body tries to remedy it. And that's why I was asking so early, so I'd have time to research I'll dig into that angle, see what I can find.
