Trying not to get hopes up, but want to share

We've been trying for over a year now. I've gotten to where I head into the 2WW assuming I'm not pregnant, since that's just easier to do than anxiously hoping I am.

So here's the TMI part that I'm dying to share with someone, but I don't want to get DH's hopes up.

My cycles are very regular. I always spot for a couple days prior to AF, and my CM always has a faint blood smell for 2-3 days before I start spotting.

This month is different. There is absolutely no blood smell to my CM. I wasn't able to temp as much as normal, so I'm not 100% sure of my O day, but every other sign suggested it was around the usual day. If so, then I'm probably 12 dpo & this is the first day I usually start spotting.

I don't have any other signs like I did twice previously (w/DS & with a "chemical"), so that's why I'm not getting too excited. But I can't help but get my hopes up a little anyway....

I've got my fingers crossed for you! Are you going to test or wait until you're late?

Well, I first got a negative w/DS, so I'm going to hold out on testing unless any other signs pop up. I know it sounds stupid, but my body is SO regular about the spotting & the smell prior to spotting, that's enough to throw me off!

The only other nagging thing is that my breasts are tender, but not AS tender as they've been for the past 4-5 months just prior to AF. I have no clue if that means anything or not.

With my second child I got NO pg symptoms prior to testing positive. I'd only been trying a few months and had no hope at all that I was pg. My breasts get sore before AF, too, and were actually less sore when i was pg with my second until after i got a pos. Two of my pregnancies were simiar, the first and last, but the middle one was totally different. So don't give up hope!

My fingers are crossed for you!!

We're trying for our 4th and I have never had pg symptoms with any of them until around the 6 week mark. Good luck to you!

ANYWHERE else your post would be TMI! But here it's great! I hope it's a good sign for you. Good luck!

That's what I like about this forum!

Well, I think I'm 13 dpo & still no spotting or anything... but now I "feel" like AF is going to come soon, so we'll see.

I had SUCH morning sickness w/DS starting around 11 dpo, & with my so-called "chemical" it was the same way. So I find it hard to believe that I could possibly be pregnant & NOT have that problem. It's probably just an odd cycle for some reason...

Just checking in to see if you might be testing soon? I need some buddies in the Dec. 2010 group! I just wanted to let you know not to give up hope yet. I have felt like AF was waiting on my doorstep for the last two or three days and I took a test at 10DPO (FRER) and saw a faaaaiiiint pink line!

Other than that none one single symptom. Nada!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Just thought I'd update, in case anyone was wondering.

After 1 BFN test, 2 days of spotting, and AF showing up - definitely not pregnant!

So I'm glad I only "talked" with you guys here & not w/DH. Last time I was wondering/hoping if we'd been successful, he cried when AF showed up. That was almost as hard to deal with as my own disappointment!

awww, sorry to hear that.

and yes, i definitely was wondering! nothing is TMI around here. i myself am amazed at how interested I am in how everyone else is doing, every detail they share.
in fact, I was about to join you on this thread, I have 2 days to go in 2ww and just daring to hope.
I usually take an unexpected nap 3 days before AF. SO I made sure to stay awake that day AF is due tomorrow or the next day so theoretically I shouldnt even start hoping till the day after that.

On the bright side ... not spotting may be a good sign, if the spotting was due to low progesterone. I have a tendency to spot as well, which hasn't happened this time, so even if af shows (please no!) at least I can be glad that my luteal phase has gone above 10 days with no spotting.
