6 week checkup..

Thread Starter
My daughter just got back from her 6 week checkup and the OB told her that he had trouble stitching her uterus back together because it was so thin. He recommended a full historectemy which she refused. He said that she must never get pregnant again because her uterus walls are so thin that she will surely rupture. How do you figure out whether what he is saying is true or not? This just gets more and more disturbing. I suggested she go to another Dr. and get a second opinion. Her babies were spaced just less than 1 year apart. Is that the possible cause?

A lot of doctors are big on hysterectomies. You might be interested in reading Male Practice by Robert Mendelsohn.

Is this the same OB that bullied her into a c-section?

I would get a second and third opinion. And a fourth if i felt it was necessary.

She should definitely seek 2nd, 3rd, 4th opinions as zoebird said.
