Want to Adopt a Granny in Madison

Hi! I'm a single mom, homeschooling my 5 year old DD in Madison. We're new to town, and doing pretty well with making friends and finding our way around the area, we like Madison ALOT. The one thing we really miss is having elders. Most of the elders in my family have passed away, there are a few older relatives we keep in touch with, but no one near by. Do you know any older ladies in or around Mad town who might like to be adopted as our Madison Granny? We're liberal and non-religious, but interested in Earth based spirituality and learning about cultural traditions, nature, the outdoors, peace & justice, music, art and crafts. We're open to people of any race or orientation, our only request is that she be interested in getting periodic phone calls & visits from a Mom and child.

Thanks for reading & take care!

I would suggest you check out James Reeb UU or one of the other UU's in Madison. You would fit in wonderfully there, and you would easily be able to find people of all generations to visit!
