Teaching your child how deal with teasing.

On another thread I mentioned how I'm trying to help my son deal with this other kid. A mom posted a link to this article:

http://wondertime.go.com/learning/ar...our-child.html

So I spent the morning reading through Izzy Kalman's web site, and so far I think it's very helpful.

If your child has been dealing with teasing, or if you were teased a lot when you were a kid, I urge you to read the article linked above, and then read his How To Stop Being Teased and Bullied Without Really Trying.

Warning: there are absurdly ugly illustrations to go with the How To article. Really, what is he thinking? But look past them and read what he has to say.

Thank you! I've bookmarked this. I think ds could really benefit from this. I really like the lessons, and we can try those this summer if the teasing becomes a problem again.

I'm loving this website. My ds is an aspie (bully magnet), and we've tried lots of different strategies to cut down on teasing/bullying. Nothing's really clicked for him, but he was really able to understand the approach that this website presents. Thank you so much for posting these links!!
