A review of the thread guidelines:
This is the television forum. The purpose of the television forum is to discuss 18, 19, 20, Whatever Kids and Counting, the television show.

All posts must both adhere to the forum's purpose (see above) and the User Agreement, specifically
Quote:
Do not post in a disrespectful, defamatory, adversarial, baiting, harassing, offensive, insultingly sarcastic or otherwise improper manner, toward a member or other individual, including casting of suspicion upon a person, invasion of privacy, humiliation, demeaning criticism, name-calling, personal attack, or in any way which violates the law.
Defamatory = purposely harmful and/or untrue with the intention to malign. MDC is no longer hosting celebrity gossip, which should cover most of it, but we will also not host speculation of a harmful or overly personal nature, including allegations of abuse or armchair mental health diagnoses. This is also covered under "casting suspicion". If you can't prove it with a reliable source, don't post it as fact.

Baiting = trying to make end runs around the User Agreement and hinting that members posting to this thread on either "side" are somehow morally deficient. It will not be tolerated, and is not the purpose of this forum. Discuss the show, not the members who discuss the show.

Offensive/disrespectful: You can discuss your thoughts on their religious beliefs as they pertain to the show. But please, mind your language. We don't host any form of religious bigotry on MDC. Don't use words that would offend you if someone turned them around and used them to describe your own beliefs. Certainly, words like "cult" are NEVER appropriate when describing someone's religious beliefs.

Invasion of Privacy = tell-all blogs, aerial shots of private properties, etc.

Personal attack and namecalling: To clarify, you may state how you feel or how something makes you feel. You may feel certain actions are selfish, careless, or mean. You may not call someone selfish, careless, or mean.

This isn't the place to debate religion, family planning/fertility, discipline techniques, etc. If you want to have an extended conversation on those topics, please start a thread in the proper forum. Nor is this a "Duggar-lovin'" or "Dugger-hating" thread. It is JUST to discuss the television show.

This thread will be opened tonight and will be actively moderated. The plan is to start a new thread every few months. Posts that violate these guidelines will be removed and alerted. Jim-Bob and Michelle and their brood are certainly not core to MDC's purpose, and if these guidelines can't be adhered to, the thread will be removed.

As always, feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns.

Signed,
Modzilla

If you check out the last post of the old thread, someone said there were episodes on Hulu.

Subbing! I the Duggers, if it weren't for the DVR though I'd never get to watch it in peace, lol.

I tear up almost every episode now though, watching little Josie.

Did anyone hear Michelle say she makes "skim milk" this last episode? I was a little irritated. I'm so glad she's been pumping for Josie, but seriously, after 19 kids you'd think she'd know our bodies make exactly what our babies need!

I've been out of the Duggar loop. I read that Michelle had the baby early by emergency c-section. Is Josie OK? Is she home from the hospital yet? My heart goes out to the family.

I only know what's going on through the show, which is behind real life, but Josie is doing really well for a premie. She did have a bowel perforation at 8 days, but from all accounts recovered very well. In the show she is off the vent, tube fed BM and formula, and is very alert. A People article in late Jan. stated she could be released weeks before her original March 18 due date.

Is anybody else just not as "in to" the Duggars right now? I think the Josie stuff is just hard for me to watch. I wish they would do more of the old stuff: this is how we cook for 15. This is how we shop. This is how we have a Bday party for Jesus. This is how we do school. I liked the down-to-earthyness of that.

I'm also sorta biased because I'm still processing my 13 month old's traumatic birth/NICU stay. Although it was nothing as serious as Josie's, it breaks my heart to think of the little babies. Hopefully when Josie gets home they can settle down for a while and just live life!

I think it's been neat to watch the family pick and move to be closer to the hospital, and how they've kept up with schooling and how much STUFF they've had to bring! I also think it's been neat to watch the two older boys hold down the fort at home.

I hope this isn't a trend for this show. I remember on Jon & Kate, after they got the "how we do x with 8 kids" stuff out of the way, they started doing more field trips & stuff just for the show, not living real life. I hope the Duggars don't do that!

Me, too! I love that they just picked up and moved! One benefit to home schooling, for sure!

Subbing to the thread. I love the Duggars.

Subbing too!

I also hope they don't end up just doing special trips and things like Jon and Kate.

They are still showing some normal stuff though, like working at the car lot and the boys doing repairs...

Has anyone had dreams about them? It's starting to freak me out. I've had 2 now. The first one was that I met Mrs Duggar and she was super mean to me.
The second one was that I was visiting at their place, and for some reason the 2 year old was in charge of watching my baby William (who's 15 months). Obviously the kid wasn't doing a good job "watching" him so I look over and William is about to fall down the stairs and I panicked and yelled something that contained a swear word. And then I was like. Oh no. Now I've done it. I swore in front of the Duggars. 8|

Isn't that weird?

I'm so glad I can finally watch them now! I have cable again!

I would love it if they did another "Ask the Duggars" episode... or even based episodes off of viewer questions.

Is anyone else LOVING the recent interviews with Jackson and Johannah (sp?) ????? They are sooo adorable!
