Homebirth Midwife in Central Illinois

I am looking for a homebirth midwife in Central Illinois. I can have my child either in Chatham, Illinois or in Springfield near the hospital. Any advice or leads to an interested person would be appreciated. I do understand the confidentiality issues and won't be offended. I am just running to walls everywhere I go and I really want to do this differently this time. I have a 7 1/2 year old son.

Hi! I know the feeling of having difficulty finding a midwife! I'm planning an HBAC in May, and I'm using a wonderful lay midwife from near the Princeton, IL area. Since she's a lay midwife, she does homebirths. If you're interested I can give you her e-mail address--just send me a message at em2511@gmail.com & I'd be happy to pass along the info!

TabithaB, I live in Springfield, il and am trying to find a homebirth midwife too!  It's very difficult, isn't it!  Did you manage to find anyone to help you?
