I am 8 weeks pregnant. I have had my blood drawn a few times since the beginning because I have a history of miscarriages (though in previous pregnancies and miscarriages I was never told progesterone levels to compare this with). My HCG has been increasing steadily (now over 100,000), but my progesterone has gone from 32.5 to 29.7 to 28.5 and now to 22.5. My midwife is not worried - but I am. Any thoughts on these numbers?

they want to see your numbers above 15...
yours are WELL above 15... so you are fine. Even with a level of 7 my doctor was not horribly worried as long as I still had my symptoms... by the next check it was 17. I wont be checked anymore as I am past 12 weeks now.
Progesterone is not a steady hormone, it comes in spurts throughout the day... so its very possible that your levels are actually quite steady but you are just testing further and further after the most recent spurt.

My midwife called me today and agreed to put me on a progesterone supplement. I'm about to go pick it up at the pharmacy. I'm trying to read online and see if there is any harm to taking this on account of dropping levels (BTW, I took the tests at the same time each day) even if they are still well abouve 15...
