buying kids' books in bulk?

Okay, so maybe this is the wrong forum?

I'm looking to buy about 25-30 books for favors for a big party for a bunch of 3-5 year olds. Any thoughts on where and how to get? I want something somehow relating to reptiles or amphibians, dinos, even just wildlife in general... Thoughts?

Little Dover books are sometimes $1.

Most kids books on Amazon are Four-for-three. So if you buy four books, the 4th is free. I've done many party favors this way.

p.s. Okay, I picked one at random. If you scroll down a little, you'll see, "Special Offers and Promotions." The price is subtracted from the cart when you're checking out.

If you aren't as choosy about what book, Scholastic sells a $1 book in each catalogue (if your child isn't in school, ask a teacher friend to help you out). They've recently offered "Five Green and Speckled Frogs", "Mouse's First Spring", and "Down By the Cool of the Pool" as their $1 titles.

I've bought books using the Amazon 4 for 3 deal for party favors several times and usually ended up spending about $3 - $3.50 per book, but I was able to buy relevant books (for example, I just gave "Good Night, Good Knight" as the goody present at my daughter's castle party, and gave a DK "Rocks and Minerals" book at a party where the kids did gem mining).
