Is this possible? I haven't had any problems with it in months. Now at 4.5 weeks pregnant its started again. Its mild but now totally worried it will get worse at the pregnancy continues.

In the second trimester your uterus should raise up and you will be a lot more comfortable. Try resting as much as possible. Hang in there!

I have a prolapsed cervix )not sure at all if they're related in any way) and am still HBing. My midwife said it's uncomfortable but had a lot of good suggestions for me. It has gotten better as I've worked on kegels and not lifted heavy things--like 30 lb toddlers, lol.

Kegels are your friend!! And a HB MW is going to have a LOT more helpful info than any other sort of practitioner. I remember talking to my MW after my births with that as a possibility (don't think that's what it was, though), and she was very knowledgeable.

Wasn't there a great Mothering article recently about a type of massage that can help the uterus? I don't know if Webster's could help with that, but might be worth talking to a chiropractor to see. I would look into that.

Otherwise, just talk to any midwife you are interviewing and see what she says. I think you should keep your options open.

In addition to a chiropractor, you could also look into acupuncture. It can actually help with this type of condition.

An Osteopath (they are listed as a doctor with a "DO" after the name) who does manual manipulation can help too, with much more indirect contact than a chiropractor, if chiropractic doesn't work for you (it doesn't for me).

I'm at 34+ and started with a prolapsed uterus and it's been no problem, the osteopathic manipulation has been just the thing (and DOs are well covered by insurance). I actually feel so good I'm sure I must be cheating ...
