Music Hall of Shame

There's gotta be something you all listen to that is just plain embarrassing.

Tonight in the car I was rockin' out to my dd's Peter Paul and Mommy Too CD (head down, cheeks flushed) "The Garden Song" -- ya know, inch by inch, row by row, gonna make my garden grow..

I actually sometimes when I listen to it.

I am so humiliated.

Tell me I'm not alone

Uh, oh! Journey's got some more shots in her!

stumbles and shouts:
Quote:
You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round
Okay, I forgot the rest of the lyrics, but that chorus gets stuck in my head on a regular basis.

As does this one which I mumble quite consistantly (I'm actually known for singing this song out of the blue)... *shouts*

Quote:
Hey do it now
yeah hey

Yeah,
There was a funky singer
Playin' in a rock & Roll Band
And never had no problems yeah
Burnin' down one night stands
And everything around me,
yeah
Got to stop to feelin' so low
And I decided quickly,
Yes I did
To disco down and check out the show
Yeah they was

Dancin' and singin'
and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted
Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Lay down that boogie and play that funky music till you die
Till you die ,
oh till you die

Karma, I love that cd!! I should dig it out again.

Puff the magic dragon,
lived by the sea,
and frolicked in the autumn mist
in a land called Hanna Lee

I always leave the INSYNC songs on in the car so my "son" can listen to them. But really its me that likes them.

I swear ds actually remembers "Blowin' in the Wind" from my singing along with the record so much while he was in the womb. :LOL

Another closet Barry Manilow fan here. C'mon man! It's nostalgic. I've been known to get misty at "Weekend in New England."

When will our eyes meet?
When can I touch you?
When will this strong yearning end?
And when can I hold yoooooouuuuuuuu...... again?

I love Barry Manilow

and Def Leppard

and hair bands

If you ever encounter a dorky woman driving a green Caravan and unabashedly belting out a song by any of the above artists, it's probably me!

Madonna - Like a Prayer

I have it on a CD in my car. It doesn't matter who is in the car when that comes on I have to sing the whole thing at the top of lungs and dance in my seat - even if I'm driving.

It never fails to make me feel good.

"She had to name him Wiiiilllldfire...."
(something like that)
Y'know the song about the horse?

Also a Barry Manilow fan! And don't get me started on Air Supply!
I have Adam Ants greatest hits as well as Hall & Oats in my minivan: Oh and Barbra Streisand essential hits as well :LOL

Skell already knows this but I went to the Hollyweird concert, Poison, Faster Pussycat and Cinderella when I was 9 months pg with #3 and went to see Cher when I was 9 mos pg with #4 - both concerts were outside Dark Lady Laughed and Danced and Lit the Candles One by One.....

Hair Bands.

Marky Mark's 'Good Vibrations' is still one of the only songs that always makes me smile, no matter what.

Berlin's 'Take My Breath Away' always makes me

Just stick me back between 1984-1989 and leave me there.
"Good Vibrations" came on the radio when I was alone in the car the other day (woohoo! just for that!) and I was astounded at how absolutely wonderful and happy it made me. I blasted it out the windows of my empty minivan and sang at the top of my lungs.
